I love to travel and experience new things and cultures, so my partner must be adventurous and enjoy this too. I love animals and have 2 dogs that I do a lot of things with, including hikes and weekend road trips. Nature and the environment are very important to me; as such, activities like camping, hiking the great outdoors, going to the beach and exploring the beauty of the National Parks this country has to offer, all afford wondrous, exciting and educational opportunities to me.
I like going off the beaten path to discover new places instead of plodding down the same old well trodden path that every other tourist has taken. Life should be an adventure, not a tired routine. Spontaneity is my middle name. Love romantic getaways and weekend road trips with that special someone. I am the type of person that would prefer to stay in some quaint and unique bed and breakfast with its own quirky and individualistic personality, rather than a chain hotel like the Ritz Carlton, no matter how luxurious.
I like dining out, trying new restaurants and cuisines. Don’t like just cooking for myself, but cooking with someone else or for someone else as a shared activity is immensely fun. I work out regularly and eat right most of the time (although not religiously, one has to treat oneself sometimes), so it would be nice if my partner kept in shape too.
I want to experience and enjoy all that life has to offer in the short time that we are on earth. The fact that I once spent a year backpacking all over the world by myself, trekking the Himalayas and seeing the pyramids of Giza while doing some soul searching and trying to find myself, should say something about my personality; I am pretty independent, confident and headstrong, so I need a man who is equally confident, strong, secure and comfortable with who he is. Travelling to new and exciting places is fun, but I have so often done it alone, and it would be nice to share it with someone else and create new memories in the process.
I am a very direct and straightforward person (some might say I am too blunt, sometimes).I absolutely detest playing games and any type of drama/superficiality. Honesty, integrity, loyalty and sincerity are important to me and I believe one's partner must also be one's best friend, someone that you can have deep and meaningful conversations with, as well as a companion with shared interests and activities.Friends would say that my best quality is loyalty. I am looking for that special someone to share life's pleasures and adventures with, so no emotional baggage please. Update: 12/21/2012: At this point in my life, I am free to move and live wherever I choose, so distance is not a problem for me.
